In ancient Hellenic tradition, the Full Moon is known as Dikhominía. During this luminous phase, it is believed that the "Gates of Divinity" are open, meaning the divine realm is particularly accessible to us. This makes the Full Moon a beautiful, natural time for personal ritual, pouring a libation, or simply enjoying a moment of quiet reflection. Because of this open connection, if an ancient festival happens to fall near the Full Moon, traditional practice even suggests it is entirely appropriate to move your observance to this night to take advantage of the energy.
