Maimakterion

The fifth month in the Athenian calendar. Roughly November - December. 

Miasma

Μίασμα (Miasma) - míasma, "pollution," "stain," "defilement," from miaínein ("to stain, defile") 

Ritual impurity or pollution that renders a person unfit to approach the gods until purified - distinct from moral guilt or sin.

Metageitnion

The second month in the Athenian calendar. Roughly August - September. 

Monthly Community Libations

To ensure that each of the twelve Olympian Gods is honoured at least once a year, the calendar designates one specific day each month for a shared community libation. While we may be geographically separated, this creates a powerful, synchronous moment where practitioners around the world are pouring an offering to the exact same deity on the exact same day.

Mounichion

The tenth month in the Athenian calendar. Roughly May - June. Home to the Thargelia.
