The first day of each Athenian lunar month. A time of fresh beginnings, welcoming the light, and setting intentions.

Following the quiet reflection of Hekate’s Deipnon, Noumenia marks the official beginning of the new Athenian lunar month. Signified by the very first visible sliver oIf the crescent moon, ancient philosophers like Plutarch considered this to be the holiest day of the entire month. Occurs 12 times a year.
