Katharsis

Κάθαρσις (Katharsis) - kátharsis, "cleansing," "purification," from kathaírein ("to purify, cleanse") 

The act or process of ritual purification - removing miasma so a person, space, or object is fit to approach the divine.

Khaire

Χαῖρε (Khaire) - khaîre, "rejoice!" / "be well!", the imperative of khaírein ("to rejoice") 

A traditional Greek greeting and salutation - "hail" or "rejoice" - used both in everyday address and in devotional prayer to the gods.

Kharis

Χάρις (Kharis) - kháris, "grace," "favour," "gratitude, from khaírein ("to rejoice")

The principle of reciprocal grace between gods and mortals — the cycle of giving and receiving that sustains right relationship with the divine.

Kharites

Χάριτες (Kharites) - Khárites (singular Kháris), "The Graces," from the same root as kháris (grace, favour, joy)

The three goddesses personifying grace, beauty, and joy - Aglaia, Euphrosyne, and Thalia - who embody the qualities that make kharis (reciprocal favour) genuinely pleasing rather than merely obligatory.

Khalkeia

Considered the Hellenic Labour Day, this is a great ancient festival honouring Hephaestus and Athena.

Khernips

Χέρνιψ (Khernips) - khérnips, from kheír ("hand") + níptein ("to wash")

Lustral (purifying) water used to cleanse the hands before prayer, sacrifice, or entry into sacred space.
